Colin Greene, Managing Director

Colin Greene is the Founder and Managing Director of Aino Education. Colin received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English (with a specialization in Writing) from New York University in 1999 and his Master of Arts Degree in Secondary English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2001.

Colin was the Director of Curriculum and Instruction with Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO). As Director, he was responsible for original curriculum development, instructional implementation, assessment data management, and quality control. During his tenure with SEO, Colin developed over 1000 curricular materials and 500 lesson plans. He also hired and managed over 30 instructors, who were tasked with implementing those plans and support materials. The curriculum Colin built resulted in significant gains in SEO student SAT scores, demonstrating the efficacy of rigorous supplemental education. These unprecedented outcomes helped SEO attract strategic partners such as the JPMorgan Chase Foundation and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR).

Prior to SEO, Colin taught English at various private and public high schools in the New York area, including The Hudson School, West Islip High School, and Ward Melville High School where he taught all grades between 6th grade and 12th grade. As a classroom teacher, Colin worked with over 600 students and designed over 20 individual courses on various levels, including requisite, honors, and elective classes.

In addition to having taught in elite private and public schools, Colin grew up in Westchester county and attended Rye Country Day School, giving him a unique perspective on advanced education in the area.

In recent years, Colin has attended workshops in Designing Learning Spaces and Videos Games in Education at Stanford’s Center for Innovations in Learning (SCIL), where he met his wife. Currently, they live in Bedford Hills with their daughter.
